Lilit Arakelyan is a Legal Assistant at Sostrin Immigration Lawyers, LLP. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for the Daniel Pearl Foundation and also served as a Jails Project Intern with the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California office, where she screened and analyzed inmate complaints within the Los Angeles County Jail System for processing with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. At Sostrin Immigration Lawyers, LLP, Ms. Arakelyan primarily provides legal support for H-1B and E-3 "specialty occupation" nonimmigrant visa petitions and PERM labor certification applications.
Ms. Arakelyan graduated with Honors from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in English Literature with a minor in Russian Literature. While at UCLA, she worked for the
Daily Bruinas a Radio Staff Reporter and Arts & Entertainment Contributor. In addition, Ms. Arakelyan is an alumna of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, having studied abroad in Russia and the U.K. during her academic career.
