Attorney Alexander Dgebuadze to Speak at AILA California Chapters Conference in San Francisco
Attorney Alexander Dgebuadze will lead the discussion at the 29th Annual AILA California Chapters Conference as part of distinguished faculty on Friday, November 11, 2016, at a panel entitled “OMG! The New Stem OPT.” The new STEM rules provide for an extended 24-month EAD extension for certain working students. This panel discusses the new rule, how it affects employees and employers, and the practical effects on clients.
The conference is scheduled from November 10th through November 12th in San Francisco, CA. San Francisco has long been a refuge for underrepresented populations, providing a place for these communities to thrive and rise in the city's shelter. To this end, the Conference aims to provide attendees with opportunities to network with colleagues as well as engage with immigration law experts and government representatives.
The American Lawyers Association (AILA) is a national association of over 13,000 attorneys and law professors who teach and practice immigration law. Founded in 1946, AILA is a nonpartisan, not-for profit organization that provides continuing legal education, information, professional services, and expertise through its 38 chapters and over 50 national committees.
