Newsflash – Form I-693 No Longer Required As Initial Evidence

As of Sunday, June 1, 2014, USCIS no longer requires Forms I-693 Reports of Medical Examination and Vaccination Records to be submitted as initial evidence with immigration benefit applications.  The medical examination, which will remain valid for up to one (1) year after submission to USCIS, may now be submitted any time after the initial filing.  Applicants who do not file the medical examination form concurrently with their application are encouraged to wait until the form is requested by USCIS either through the issuance of a Request for Evidence (RFE) or through a notice to bring a completed medical examination form to the interview.  Please refer to the USCIS Policy Manual for a complete overview of Form I-693 guidance.
