Sept. 2013 Visa Bulletin – EB-2 India, EB-3 Advance Significantly & F2A Still Current!
According to the Department of State’s September Visa Bulletin, priority date cut-offs will advance significantly for most backlogged employment-based immigrant visa categories next month. Specifically, EB-2 India will advance 5 1/2 months to June 15, 2008. (EB-2 China will remain at August 8, 2008.) EB-3 India will also advance 8 months to September 22, 2003, and 1 ½ years for China and most other countries to July 1, 2010. However, it is unlikely that there will be any additional advancement of cut-off dates during the next couple of months and there may be a possible retrogression of cut-off dates at any time due to demand.
Additionally, the family-based F-2A for spouses and minor children of lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders) will remain current; however, a cut-off is likely for October.
