Update – 39 Consular Posts Restored Globally
The Department of State (DOS) has issued an alert advising that the Bureau of Consular Affairs is continuing to experience technical problems with issuing visas abroad, but is quickly working around the clock to restore its international systems to full capacity. As of Wednesday, June 24, 2015, 39 consular posts have been reconnected, representing more than two-thirds of the normal global nonimmigrant visa volume. More than 45,000 visas were issued yesterday, with 15,000 of those coming from Beijing alone.
